Welcome! Rich and Kathie here, and we are building an off grid homestead from scratch on 135 acres of forest in the Adirondacks!

This dream began in 2017 as a five year plan and currently we are in the process of building our unconventional off grid earth sheltered house!

The goal, of course, is to live a simpler and more sustainable life that is manageable into old age!
