this was the year we were supposed to build the house, but with COVID and inflation, etc. it just wasn't possible.  We did get the blueprints done, the kit ordered, dirt saved, buy a new shed, and built a garage!

• The plans for the earth sheltered house are about 1500 square feet. We wanted to keep it small so that it would not only be economical to build, but small also makes it easier to upkeep! Learn more about our earth sheltered house and the reasons whey we chose this style house here!​

​A Second Shed /Chicken Coop (10x12)
​This shed will serve two purposes:

1. ​It will be our temporary well house while we are building (and some storage too!)
2. It will become our Chicken Coop: This will be bigger than any coop we have had in the past as I would like to have at least a dozen chickens. 

Built a 24 x 24 Garage with attic!

• We built a 2 car garage with attic space on the second floor. We originally planned to live in this while the house was being built but have recently come to the conclusion that this  simply won't work. Since we also plan on repurposing or reusing many supplies, the garage will provide a great dry place to store what we find as we find it, but now we intend to build a shed on skids that can be moved as needed. In the future the shed can be converted into the chicken coop! This is still a  a great way to be economical, earth friendly, and efficient even though it is not our original plan of living in the garage.​
