Our Top 4 MADE IN THE USA PURCHASES FOR 2015!
One of our 2015 New Years Resolutions was to buy American Made whenever possible. Despite the fact that this is sometimes not all that easy, I am proud to say that WE DID IT!
This year we had decided to replace both our refrigerator and our dishwasher. They were both from the 1990's and used excessive amounts of electricity. With all the newer more efficient models out there, we knew that we needed to replace them. Unfortunately only a few months after replacing both of these items, we were actually forced to purchase a new stove when ours literally blew up. All three appliances we purchased came with a sticker that said MADE IN THE USA. All three were made by Frigidaire!
Side note - I did not pay list price for any of these products! I always buy on sale and use coupons!

1. Frigidaire Refrigerator
This is not the exact one we purchased, I don't think they sell the one we got anymore, but this is basically the same. Read about How Much $$$ Energy Star Refrigerator Saves!

2. Frigidaire Dishwasher
The new one not only is Energy Star certified, but it uses a lot less water too! Bonus!

3. Frigidaire Stove
Before you start laughing at me, yes, I bought a coil electric stove. I did this for a few reasons. First, I don't have gas in my house and after looking into how much it would cost to convert to a gas stove, that was a big NO. Second, I use graniteware for canning and it is not recommended for use on glass cooktops. Good enough for me :-)

We had our wood floors refinished over the summer. This was a huge deal because they were SOOO bad. The company did an amazing job refinishing them and we are so happy with the results. So we had a nice new floor, beautifully painted walls, but this old ugly couch. Again, it was purchased back in the early 2000's. More than 10 years ago...and very, very, used by our family on a daily basis. It was ripped and worn and even kind of dirty looking. It had to go. We honestly didn't start out looking for American Made, just something we liked in the right price range. We went to Lazy Boy and found what we liked in a Hot Buy Sale. The second the salesman said it was made in the USA, it was SOLD!

Note that we have a very small house and that this furniture being smaller in general than most made it perfect for our living room!
